A Netflix Original movie's eligibility to win an Oscar is currently being debated by the Academy

Much like what happened at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, Netflix Original movies are now having their recognition at the most prestigious industry awards ceremony, The Oscars, called into question. Academy members are currently debating how, or even if, streaming service productions should be eligible for nomination.
